The police found two notes in the house, the first behind a desk where it had fallen, the second pinned to the kitchen door by a bloody knife.

Amy,

I’m going out tonight to take care of this once and for all. I’ll call when it’s done and I’m on my way back. No matter what happens, don’t answer the door. There’s a loaded shotgun in the pantry and a case of shells. I love you.
