In my heart of hearts,
When I was a child,
I too believed in love.

I believed in the kind of things
that just don't exist.
Dragons and Unicorns hiding;
just over the hill.
And a knight in armor to save me.
When I was a child,
I believed in the fairytale.
(Again, not what I really wanted, but it's just not flowing today.)

Hmmmm. Pretty regular rhythm and rhyme scheme. I liked this, though. At first it seemed a little abstract, but you built up to a concrete image, and it worked. Even if it's not what you want, it's pretty good. I wasn't sure about the repetition of "when I was a child".
